Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon is excited to host our FIRST EVER t-shirt design contest! The contest is open to Alabama students in kindergarten through 5th grades. This year we will celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America with our partners at America 250 Alabama and the American Village. Artists are encouraged to create a patriotic design and/or one about how fun it is to run!

RULES AND RECOMMENDATIONS

• Entries must be received by noon on December 19, 2025

• Students must be in grades kindergarten through 5th during the 2025-2026 school year.

• Submissions may be created digitally, drawn, painted or collaged on paper - get creative! - but the images must be submitted electronically using this form.

• Student entries may be submitted by parents, legal guardians or teachers.

• One entry per student.

• Winners will be selected and notified in January 2026. The overall winner will received $100, have their design printed on the 2026 Kids Marathon event shirts and will be featured on the jumbotron on race day. One runner-up from each grade level will receive $25 and have their design featured on the jumbotron.

• Winning designs may be slightly modified to facilitate screen printing. Any changes will be submitted to the artists for approval before printing.

• Students are not required to register or participate in the kids marathon to enter the design contest.

• This contest and all prizes are presented by Birmingham Marathon, Inc., the event organizer, and are not managed or administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.
