The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon is an innovative, endurance building program for children in kindergarten through 5th grades. Formerly part of Mercedes-Benz Marathon Weekend, the BCBSAL Kids Marathon continues the mission to foster and develop active lifestyle habits in Alabama’s kids. The 2026 live event will be hosted at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. Ample parking plus a spectator-friendly finish on the track make this year’s event accessible for the entire family. Expect food trucks, famous sports mascots and a superhero or two!
BCBSAL Kids Marathon is pleased to join America 250 Alabama and the American Village to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding! Our 2026 event will feature commemorative swag and loads of patriotic activities and entertainment - our most exciting Kids Marathon yet!
